Managing Users

This guide explains how to manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in Funderr. Proper user management is essential for security and access control.

Accessing the Users Screen

To access the Users screen:

  • Select Admin from the main menu.

  • Click on Users.

Viewing the List of Users

The Users screen displays a list of all user accounts in Funderr.

The list displays the following information for each user:

  • First Name: The first name of the user.

  • Last Name: The last name of the user.

  • Email: The email address associated with the account.

  • Office: The office to which the user is assigned.

Creating a New User

To create a new user account:

  • Click the + Create User button (highlighted in the screenshot below).

  • Fill in the required information in the "Create User" form, as shown below.

The fields on the form are:

  • Username: The username for the new user. This must be unique.

  • Email: The email address for the new user.

  • First Name: The first name of the new user.

  • Last Name: The last name of the new user.

  • Password never expires: Check this box if the password shouldn't expire. (Use with caution!)

  • Send password to email address: Check this box to automatically send the generated password to the user's email address.

  • Office: The office to which the user is assigned.

  • Staff: Select the appropriate staff member.

  • Roles: The role assigned to the user. This determines their permissions within Funderr.

    You will need to create a screenshot of adding roles in the admin panel and will make for a more clear explanation

  • Click Submit to save the new user account.

Editing a User Account

To edit an existing user account:

  • Select the user account you want to edit from the Users list.

  • Click the Edit button on the detail page.

  • Modify the user's information as needed.

  • Click Submit to save the changes.

Changing a User Password

To change an existing user password:

  • Select the user account you want to edit from the Users list.

  • Click the Change Password button on the detail page.

  • Enter your Password and your Repeat Password

  • Click Confirm to save changes

Deleting User

To delete a user

  • Select the user account you want to edit from the Users list.

  • Click the Delete button on the detail page.

  • Click Confirm to delete the user, but be aware this can not be undone!
