Managing Bulk Data Import

This guide explains how to manage bulk data imports in Funderr. Bulk import allows you to import data for various entities (e.g., clients, loans, savings accounts) from Excel spreadsheet templates. This is useful for quickly adding or updating large amounts of data.

1. Understanding Bulk Data Import

Bulk data import provides a way to efficiently import data into Funderr using Excel spreadsheet templates. You can import data for offices, users, groups, clients, loan accounts, savings accounts, fixed deposit accounts, chart of accounts, share accounts, loan repayments, savings transactions, fixed deposit transactions, recurring deposit transactions, journal entries, and guarantors. This helps reduce manual data entry and ensures data consistency. Please see all existing Managing Organization Settings

2. Accessing the Bulk Import Settings

To access the Bulk Import settings screen, follow these steps:

  • 2.1 Navigate to Organization Settings: Follow the steps to access the Organization Settings screen (Admin -> Organization). See topic Managing Organization Settings.

  • 2.2 Click Bulk Import: From the list of organization settings, click "Bulk Import."

3. Review the Bulk Import page.

Once you've accessed the Bulk Import screen, you can view a list of entities for which bulk import is available:

  • 3.1 Entity Screen: To access that, perform the following operations:

    • View all available data.

    • Download file templates.

    • Follow each of the instructions

    • Bulk Import Screen

4. Create Bulk import items.

To proceed with Creating Bulk import items, perform the following tasks.

  • 4.1 Proceed with each item

  • To download, follow the steps in Managing Offices

  • Fill in the required data

  • There are templates to download to the machine.
